Day and a Life

*Thinking to myself* I don't know what to write home this week. There's just to much to share. What should I do? I can't just send home nothing! AHHHHHHHH!!!!
The inner turmoil of a missionary writing home on p-day.
Hello! And welcome to another adventure of: A Day and a Life of Your Favorite Sister Missionary - brought to you by yours truly.
What great grand and glorious excitement has happened since last I wrote? Besides the rotation of the Earth, 6 sunrises and sunsets, changes in the weather, an increase in Christmas Decorations and the come and go of another Transfer - Not a whole lot.
Like Sister Harris wrote at the beginning of her letter, "This week was not the most eventful but I am alive and happy to be a missionary and serve the Lord." Being a missionary is a fantastic blessing! I love having the opportunity to study the gospel each day and share my testimony with so many people.
The highlights of the week include the following:
Eating a gluten free, dairy free pizza at Pablo's Pizza.
Talking with Brother McCaw during Relief Society and then listening to him teach gospel principles.
Listening to Riley M. give his mission farewell address during Sacrament Meeting.
and Playing the Piano.
Let's go in reverse while I expound upon the weeks highlights.
Brother and Sister Robertson were in Utah most of the week visiting their children and grandchildren. So we had the house to ourselves. Which means that I was able to play on the piano whenever I wanted because I didn't have to worry about them working in the basement. I was so happy! And you would all be pleased to hear that my Piano Skills have actually improved. When all you have to play are the hymns from the hymnbook... music is great! I am very proud at how many hymns I am actually able to play.
Riley's farewell address was great! He is going to be a fantastic missionary. He is so bold and so excited to invite everyone to hear the message of the restored gospel. GYAH! It also has helped me to see how far I have come since sharing my own missionary farewell address.
Brother McCaw is just so amazing! He was just called to be a Ward Missionary, and Brother Halgren asked him to teach the Gospel Principles class. Both of those men are geniuses - spiritual geniuses and educational geniuses alike! But anyways, Brother McCaw had planned a lesson specifically for Carly, but she wasn't able to come to church because she had term papers to write, so instead he texted one of the non-members he knows that works at a thrift store. But they were out of town on vacation.
During Relief Society, I was madly texting everyone I knew and inviting them to come to church. No one came. Which was sad, but as I was listening to the lesson in Relief Society, Brother McCaw texted us, so we went and talked with him about the work. HE IS JUST SO GREAT!!! I love him so much! He and his family are angels.
Anyways, so we just talked mostly about how much work and potential the Lord sees in this area. He told us his goals from being gospel principles teacher (an investigator at church every Sunday, and eventually so many investigators attending his class specifically that we have to request for a bigger class room.) SCRIPTURE POWER! I am so excited!
He also shared with us how much he loves and appreciates all the work that Sister Woods and I are doing in this area and that missionaries do in general. He is a great man! The Spirit was so strong as he spoke with Sister Woods and I. LAHVE!!!
And finally - Saturday night, we didn't have a dinner, so after we tried to contact a bunch of people, we biked over to Pablo's Pizza with the intention of checking to see if they have a gluten/dairy free selection. When we got there, we were greeted by a man named Brother Calister. He goes to the Bison Ridge ward in the Loveland Stake, and he offered to pay for us to eat pizza there. BLESSING! So we ordered one of the most delicious pizza's ever. YUM YUM! And ate it all!
This week has been great. It has been filled with the Spirit and blessed with many miracles. I love the gospel and I love being a missionary. The Book of Mormon is a standard to the nations that can and will change lives if we open its pages and read the words that have been carefully saved for us to read. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know he lives! I know that Heavenly Father loves YOU! He loves me. And he knows us by name.
You are all fantastic! And I am so grateful for the support and love you show not only me and the other missionaries in the world but my family as well.
May God Bless and Protect you in all that you do this week.
Love,
Sister Bryans
