Hello! Helloo! Helloo! HELLOOOO! *imagine a harmonizing quartet singing that. It's great!*
I am doing okay - a little tired, but doing well.
I got to go to Estes Park today. SOOOOOOOOO PRETTY! And such a tourist town.
;D (Granny,
you would like it. They have lots of cute little shops and suchness.)
Anyways, we didn't get to do a whole lot up there because most of the
town is still closed for the season, but we did get to watch a man named
Cory blow glass. That was AWESOME! We also got to go to the Stanley
Hotel and poke around a bit. The hotel reminds me a little bit of the
Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI. The Stanley hotel is unique because
it was used in the movie
The Shinning based on Stephen Kings novel. (I
don't recommend it!!!) And also the hotel is haunted. I still think the Grand Hotel is prettier though.
Anyways,
this week has been kind of slow. Not much teaching going on. Though,
we're trying! We did do a lot of Service. A less active sister in the
ward moved to an apartment on the first floor, so we went over a couple
of times this week to help her pack and start moving things into the new
apartment. That was a lot of fun. I got to help take apart and put back
together the entire pantry as we moved it from one floor to the other. I
felt very proud.
Sunday, we had members of the Denver Temple
Presidency come to church to speak to us. It was really good. President
and Sister Ludwig are their names.
Sister Ludwig talked about why
it's important that we keep the Temple as the focus for our families
especially out youth. She shared a list of things to help us do just
that:
1) Have a Picture of the Temple in every room of the house.
2) Make Family Prayer and Scripture Study and Family Home Evening a Priority. And have the temple as a frequent topic of conversation.
3) Pray for your children by name that they will remain pure and worthy to attend the temple.
4) Make frequent visits to the Temple.
5) Do Family History Work with your family.
6) LOVE THE TEMPLE!
Brother
Ludwig talked about the importance of being a worthy temple recommend
holder. It was really neat. I hope that everyone has the goal to have a
CURRENT temple recommend and be WORTHY of it. I know that is one of my
goals.
I LOVE THE TEMPLE SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
Yep! So that kind of covers the basics of the week. I'm not sure what more to share with you.
Love you all!
Sister Bryans
