When Sister B's Modge Podge Brain Throws Up

Sometimes there are days like today that I am so hyper and distracted that I can hardly remember how to write an email and give an update. It's embarrassing really - knowing that my brain is working in fast forward mode that I can hardly gather my thoughts together to make a cohesive modge podge of sense.
............................Oh! Hello there. I didn't realize you had already started reading. Awkward......
Many of you have been asking if I was transferred, and I am sad to say that I have not been. I will be staying here in the Mountain View Ward of the Longmont Stake for another transfer. And my new companion will be Sister Guymon. She has been out about 4 transfers. And that is all I know about her. I have never served around her before, so I am excited to begin working with her tomorrow.
This week has been interesting!
I think I told you many times in previous emails about the lyrical skit we were going to try and perform in the Ward Talent Show. Sadly, we were unable to do so. Our leading lady and her man got sick and were unable to perform with us. Super sad day! I was going to play the role of the Adversary and my two minions/temptations were super bummed that they were unable to "SHINE."  Oh well, maybe next time.
We had a really great lesson with Dillon. We taught him about the Commandments from the 4th Missionary Lesson with the help of the Meilstrup family. It was a great lesson. It's just so cool to see the Spirit influencing him for good and encouraging him to do what is right even without the support of his family. I admire him so much! His baptism this Saturday is going to be the best day yet! Hopefully tomorrow after I pick up Sister G, we will have our 5th and final lesson with Dillon before his baptismal interview.
We also had a super fantastic scripture reading session with Rachel N. and her family. It was super cool because her daughter Diana even read with us. (For how young she is, she is a great reader! I was super impressed!!!)
Wednesday we had the BEST District Meeting ever! Oh My Lanta! I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. (Sometimes, harassing the Elders - in a very nice way - is a lot of fun. Especially when they harass back. I don't recommend doing it all the time, but hey....) That was one of the reasons that District Meeting was so fun. I was SUPER HYPER that day so my mouth was running faster than my brain was. Ooops! Oh well, everyone was laughing and having a good time, so it worked out.
Friday we went to 3 Margaritas. and ate the most delicious Hispanic food ever! Brother and Sister Mancuso took us. (I LOVE THEM!) It was so much fun because they really came out of their shells that day. Being able to show us their culture was such a good experience for them, and it gave me great joy. It was just SO neat. They are the best! They always speak a combination of English and Spanish to us, and they are so patient when we don't understand.
The best was yesterday. Brother Mancuso said goodbye to Sister Nolin and then said something to me in Spanish about my new companion, and I told him how much I wanted to learn Spanish to which he said, "You will." =D That statement totally made my day!!!!
On Saturday Sister Nolin and I moved into Sister Savage's house. I'm excited to live with her. I think it will be a good experience for all of us! We live in a room in the basement this time, and we have a full size and a twin size bed. (Currently I am sleeping on the twin, but tomorrow, I will take over the full. ;D
Anyways, the ward talent show was really good. We have lots of talented individuals. I was very impressed. My favorite was when one of the Hitchcock girls sang a solo for us. She did such a great job. And the song was really cute and funny. (I wish I knew what it was, but I do not.)
So yeah, that pretty much covers the week.
....We did have a miracle happen yesterday evening though. We went to visit Sister Jensen. (She's been less active for years.) And we shared the #BecauseHeLives video with her. And then bore testimony. Over the course of the discussion, we touched on topics such as faith, testimony and conversion. And we invited her to do something to strengthen her testimony this week. (She tells us that she never had a testimony, but that she wants it to be true.) So she told us that she needed to begin reading scriptures, but complained, "I don't have the time." So I suggested that she listen to them on her phone as she drives to work each day. And she liked the suggestion so much that she downloaded both the Gospel Library and Mormon Channel Apps onto her iPhone. By the end of our visit she was smiling and had brightened up so much! It was awesome. I love being a witness to seeing the Spirit work in others. It is the best!
Anyways - I think that is truly all to share.
Stay Classy, Stay Sharp and Hold Fast to the Iron Rod (1 Nephi 8, 11)
Love,

Sister Bryans
