As the subject line suggests I had a bit of an Adventure this week! We had interviews with President Egan on Thursday, the 7th, in Kumamoto. Now some of you may remember that I went to this same place in September and it took more than a day to get there. Because I'm in Nobeoka now it only took four hours so it wasn't too bad. However we still had to spend the night in Tsuboi, part of Kimamoto Zone. Well, who should be serving in Tsuboi other than this guy!
That's Right, Elder Connett my MTC companion! We literally talked for HOURS right until 10:30 which is lights out. If that wasn't good enough, the next day after interviews this guy walked in!
Elder Proudfoot also from the MTC era! There were soooooo many people I knew there it wasn't even funny!
Well, the fun didn't end there! Our Zone (Beppu Zone) went out to eat soon after that. I had the Kumamoto traditional food of Basashi. Some of you may remember Torisashi from the Naze era. Well, the Kanji for that is the same except it's raw HORSE meat. It was sooo good! if you ever go to Japan I would definitely recommend it!
Last thing before I go. On Friday night, I had a bike accident. I'm perfectly fine, in fact, I was walking around about 10min after. I should have broken a bone because I flew 12 feet over this car and landed on the blacktop. I firmly believe that God protected me from being injured too badly that night but He let it happen so I would learn a lesson. God lives and is looking over us! But like a good parent, He wants us to learn.
