I made it safe and sound to Florida and I am crazy happy
to be here.
It is the best place in the world and I knew when the
plane landed and I met the mission president I was where I belong. <3 My
trainer is Sister Bolos and she is amazing!! I love her. <3 <3 <3 She
is the best thing since sliced bread!! She is so crazy supportive and kind. She
is always building me up with kind words of encouragement. I love her to the
moon and back. However and sadly she goes home next transfer... :( I am going
to miss her, but I will enjoy all the time I get to spend with her. She is setting
some amazing examples and really pushing me to be the best missionary I can be.
Truly though she is amazing. Her goal for us it to get 5
more baptisms before she leaves. We can do it!!!!
This month is mighty miracle May, and we are all praying
for and looking for the miracles that happen all around us daily. SO I invite
all of you to be praying for miracles, not only for the missionaries serving
around you but in your own life. They are there and I know you will see them if
you open your eyes and look. :) There have been so many miracles this week! I
wish I could share them all, but I will share one that meant a lot to me.
Sister Bolos and I were out biking, heading toward a
lesson but doing a little finding along the way. As we went I felt more and
more out of place, I felt like I wasn't doing my part and I felt a little
discouraged. So I began to pray, I told Heavenly Father that if He would put
someone in my path I promise I will stop and open my mouth trusting that He
will fill it. And it happened! Sister Bolos biked right by a man who was
sitting casually on his porch. So I called out to her and then biked over to
him, I introduced myself and he asked about the "sister" in my name
so I explained that and then gave him a card for the concert and with our
Sunday information on it. Then Sister Bolos jumped in and asked about a return
appointment and we got one for today.
Otherwise we found 5 new gators this week and we were
overjoyed. We also have been working on our LARC's (Less-Active, Recent
Convert). I love the members in this Ward they are amazing. <3 And we are
going to get them working on reactivation and missionary work. Truly the work
of the Lord is not just for missionaries. He needs us all to get to work!
Oh so just an FYI always wear bug spray out here. Truly
it is the perfume of the south. ;) I didn't and needless to say my ankles look
like I attacked them with something. LOL Oh well. ALSO my mission president is
the best, he and his wife are the most loving people I know. <3 <3 And
the comforter/pillow case they provided made my life better. It is cute and
colorful on one side and on the other soft and mink-y. Ahh my life. <3 I
wish I could tell you about everyone we met with.. I will try to be better next
week. But for now I want y'all to know that I know that God will answer our
prayers. He wants to give us success, but we need to ask Him so He knows these
kind of opportunities won't be wasted on us. I know prayer works and miracles
are happening every day. We just have to open our eyes and see them. I love
this gospel I know it is true, I know my Savior lives.
I love all y'all. I pray for you. And I thank you for the
prayers sent my way. <3 Sister Bryans Sent from my iPad
