Hi everyone!
First I'd like to say that the sky in Okinawa is
breathtaking at twilight!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Next, last week on p-day, we went to Shuri Castle in Naha and had a whole lot of fun! It was absolutely awesome to see!
Shuri castle is the capital of the old Ryukyu kingdom. In the 1400's it was taken over by the army of Satsuma (Kagoshima, woot woot!) and made an unofficial part of Japan. In 1945 during the battle of Okinawa it was completely destroyed in an American bombing raid. The castle I took pictures is a reconstruction of the original. It's way cool!
There were like a million Chinese tourists there! I also got a really cool Shuri hat with a dragon on the side.
In other news, my comp and I are playing truth and dare to have more fun during our long hot days. I dared him to eat a bamboo leaf. (Nom Nom Nom , Mmmm tasty!) fun stuff! That's about all I got! Love you all!
