Mission changing phone calls

Dear loved ones,
Much of my transfer past and coming has being greatly affected by phone calls.
Saturday was Michael's baptism. I will never forget the phone call during weekly planning when we heard the words, "Michael is ready." The feelings of joy seeing Michael enter the waters of baptism are indescribable. He still has much to learn and much more ahead. But this is the greatest decision he could make. I will forever be grateful for time I spent teaching, loving and serving him. I love him to much!! The baptism was awesome and Sister Saxton and I were both able to speak. Honestly that whole day was full of miracles!
Friday night I got a phone call from President Lee, he kindly asked to speak with me privately. So i left a curious Sister Saxton to speak to him in the bedroom. And to my amazement after some pleasant conversation, he has asked me to serve as a trainer this transfer.
That's right! I am expecting a lovely Sister straight from the MTC this Wednesday! I am both excited and nervous and stressed and happy.
This is going to be the most amazing transfer ever :) I know that the Lord qualifies those He calls, so no need to worry.
Saturday night we had transfer call. Where it become public knowledge that I will be training and where I learned that i will be staying in Dunn Ave for another transfer. I am so excited. This area is full of so much promise and possibility and i cannot wait to see what happens this transfer. I'm pretty sure the Dunn Ave Elders were blown away i will be staying... haha. It was happy news and the members are excited.
The final phone call i wish to mention came Sunday morning. I checked the phone and saw a txt from President Lee asking for me to call, so assuming it had something to do with training or transfers i called back and went into the bedroom to talk. I was lovingly and kindly informed that my beloved Grandipops had passed away. There were no words.... He listened as I spoke of the example my Grandipops has been and the marvelous life he has lived. He listened as I wept and then offered comfort and condolence. And he promised me that serving a mission will bless my family much more than being home. It was a hard way to start the day.
I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God, I know He lives. I know this with all my heart. I know that He is here with us, wherever and whenever we are. He loves us with an infinite love, that doesn't mean He always loves our choices. He weeps when we weep and He offers us His peace if we will come to Him. I testify that death is not the end. I know that my Grandipops will live again in the flesh and still lives in spirit. I know that families are forever, and I know that Christ can turn the darkest night into the most glorious dawn. I invite each of you to consider your life now, what are your goals?
Where are you headed? If you live each day the best you can, if you choose to love and serve and seek His spirit. I know one day we will all be together again with those we love. I invite you to seek blessings of comfort and counsel in times of sorrow and trial. I know without a doubt the blessings come from our Father in Heaven who loves us and is very aware of our lives. I love you all so much. I know that all will be well, and that even broken hearts can heal when in the hands of the master potter.

All my love, Sister Bryans
