This week ____ (feel free to fill in the blank as you choose)

Dear loved ones, 

Hello :) this week has been... yeah. 

Conference was awesome!!! #LDSConf. Greatest insight was the focus on Gods love and our divine identity. I want each and everyone of you to know that you are a loved child of God and he knows you. You have so much great potential to become like him. As we choose to follow him and seek the spirit through scriptures and prayers our will be filled with great joy. 

Hope y'all have joined me in the Book of Mormon reading. :) this week we should have read through 1-18 in 1st Nephi. I wanted to share just 2 little aha moments. 

1st "...having great desires to know...wherefore i did cry unto the Lord..." (1st Nephi 2:16) Ask and ye shall receive. Sometimes i think we wait for an answer to just come, and when we do that we become frustrated because we feel like the lord doesn't care or isn't there. Like with Michael Evans, our investigator, he had been praying and praying, but he was praying for a sign! He wasn't getting an answer so he felt like god wasn't listening. However when he humbled himself and asked the right question he got an immediate answer!! He knew without a doubt that God was there, that he loves him and now he's ready to be baptized. But it all must start with the right question!!

2nd "...I was led by the spirit, not knowing.. nevertheless I went forth..." (1st Nephi 4:6-7) Take the leap of faith! It's not easy and it's not comfortable... I know that many times as a missionary we have a thought and wonder "is that a spiritual prompting?" We doubt and worry and debate wether we should act on it. I testify like Elder Bednar, "Stop Worrying About It!" If it leads you to do good then follow it. As we follow the simple and sometimes silly promptings we show the lord that we will follow all promptings. And he trusts us with greater ones. Every act of faith becomes the foundation for the next step. 

Which i think connect well with the council from conference. Everyone should do missionary work. Its the best ever!!!

Time is short. But know i love you, i pray for you. I am so grateful for you. <3
