First full week in Normandy

Dear friends and family,
Hello!! This week was so good, and it was busy! I really enjoyed it, I am feeling a lot more confident in this area and in my calling as a Sister Training Leader.
I had my first tradeoff this week. It was with Sister Webb serving in Oak Leaf. I went to her area and it was good. Her focus was having fun and effective golden hours. We started tradeoff after pday and she was a little nervous to be staying in her area. Our dinner canceled so we grabbed a quick bite on the go and then checked her plans. She was really stressed about having to go knock doors for 3 hours. Sister Webb doesn't like knocking doors, so we brainstormed a better option for a golden hour. We decided to try an area with quite a few potential investigators and Less Actives with the goal to teach or at least set a return appointment. We met so many nice people, and we were able to set 3 return appointments. However throughout our tradeoff we never had the opportunity to teach together. Tuesday we did some service with her district, she seems to have a good relationship with everyone. Then we found out the car needed some work so we ended up at the car place for about 2 hours. Then we traded back and sister Fotheringham and I delt with life, we were able to spend some time with the YWs because they were having edict night. Fun times!!!
Also last pday was awesome! We celebrated sister Pereira birthday! She is amazing and I am so happy to be serving around her.
Otherwise we had a tradeoff with the Jax South STL's before we went to MLC this week. It was so inspired. I am excited for all of the training  and guidance we received. We had brother Donaldson from the missionary department. It was so awesome! I felt the spirit strongly as we discussed our purpose, our identity I feel like that is something the sisters in our zone struggle with, one of my goals and a sister training leader is to help the sisters in my zone see who they are and their intrinsic value as daughters of God. Sister Fotheringham and I are going to be giving a training on using technology. We are excited because we know that this is all preparation time, and we can see how the Lord is really using these tools to hasten His work.
I got a priesthood blessing Sunday night from our zone leaders. I was just sorta discouraged and insure of my abilities and why I was serving here. I was really touched and encouraged, I received council to trust my leaders and to improve my spiritual well being through study and prayer. It was an amazing blessing and helped me a lot. I have more peace and I am just going to do my best and trust the Lord.
Anyways... pictures now!

Tradeoff with Oak Leaf sisters, Sister Webb was next to me I love her!

  1. Dear Sister Bryans, You are awesome! Don't ever forget that. The Lord loves you and has been preparing you for this mission your whole life! You have a beautiful spirit and are a great teacher. With this combination, you can do wonderful things! "Trust in the Lord with all they heart and lean not unto thine own understanding...". He will always tell us how He feels about us!

    Vaya con Dios!

    Love,

    Judy and Steve George
