This week flew by like lightening in a summer storm in Florida (;
I honestly feel a bit like it was a blur and so I will do my best to write about it....
Tuesday was Valentine's day and we were able to spend it with all our favorite people, first with our district at district meeting where I brought some homemade truffles. Then we saw and ate with Lindsay, she is the cutest sister. I really enjoy her and her home is literally goals! It is so cute!! (: Then we had a long lesson with Dusty, he is doing very well and it seemed fitting so we taught the law of chastity (; oh when you are a missionary small things entertain you. Haha. We also discussed some random deep doctrine or rather mysteries that have very little explanation. I just bare my testimony and tell him that in the eternities it will all be figured out. Reminds me of 1st Nephi 11:17, "...I know that [God] loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things." I think everyone has to come to that conclusion at some point, we don't know everything but we know the most important stuff.
Wednesday was MLC, missionary leadership counci, I love my leaders so much! We discussed some different finding ideas. They were both amusing and inspiring. It also realigned my focus on what we need to be working towards. We have seen so many miracles come of them. We spent a few hours yesterday on the phone calling and texting former investigators and before we were done we had set 4 appointments and we had in our tasks to call some individuals who needed a little time to look over their schedule before we could set an apointment. It was very rewarding. Also we are planning a church tour activity for our district and it is going to be great. We are so driven to find the one everyday. I know that if we work hard, and use the tools we've been given we will succeed. One of our goals for this transfer is to contact each part member family in our area and invite around them to see miracles!
Thursday I was able to attend the temple. It is a blessing and rare opportunity we only have the opportunity to attend twice in our mission. I didn't fully realize how much I love the temple and had missed the powerful spirit that resides there. I feel like it helped solidify my resolve to attend the temple monthly when I go home. I was really touched as I entered the celestial room. Because what I want more than anything is to get home to my father and be able to be with my family. And it hit me so hard to realize that there are families out their who want the same thing but without the knowledge we have they can't get there. I am rededicated to finding those precious souls I was called here to find! I just know they are waiting so I better not waste a minute. I also was able to do the work for my great, great, great, great, grandaunt on my paternal grandfather's side. It was really nice. It was also nice because I knew my parents where in MN at the temple right as I was. I am so thankful for my eternal family. (:
Then rest of the week truly was a blur.... I got sick over the weekend and it's not the best thing ever... but oh well. Haha. Today we are going to be having lots of fun and stuff because TRANSFERS!! I am staying with Sister Fotheringham as STLs, so yes she's the 3rd companion I will be sending home. Such FUN! Besides I love watching my plan (; The other big excitment is that my sweet sister thomas will be training this transfer! I am so excited for her she is such an amazing missionary and I know she is really going to bless this new sister. #GonnaBeAGrandma! Anyways... I love you all so MUCH! Y'all are always in my prayers, xoxo
All my love,
Sister Bryans
