Spring is in the Air and a Snowstorm is a Brewin'. The Sky is Sunny and Blue; The Wind - it Blew and Blew

Hey Family and Friends,
Mom, I hope you share all of the captions from the subject box in the blog. They make life interesting!
This week has been splendid. We were busy with 48 hour exchanges with the Sisters in the Eastridge ward and also temporary exchanges while those in leadership went to MLC's. I love when we get to do exchanges. I learn so much and get to meet/work with so many amazing people.
I worked with Sister Fillmore on Wednesday. I got to go to her District Meeting. It was cool/different. I learned a lot, and I shared/spoke a lot. (Usually, I just sit and listen to District Meeting.) It was good. We were talking about helping the ward be involved with missionary work. Here is what I suggest, "1st) pray for the full time missionaries and their investigators. 2nd) read the scriptures. 3rd) pray and fast for missionary opportunities. 4th) do your home and visiting teaching. 5th) be worthy of the Spirit."
Anyways, being on exchanges with Sister Fillmore was great! We got to take a walk for an hour down to a members home while we waited for the car to finish it's oil change. It was so beautiful that day. Nice and warm with sunshine and a breeze. I loved it! I also taught Sister Fillmore how to play Pounce, so we played during lunch and dinner.
We also had the opportunity to go to the Eastridge Young Women's New Beginnings. It was beautifully done. I miss being in young women's.
Anyways, the next day, I was able to work with Hermana Wilson. She is adorable. She is one of the Spanish speaking sisters in the mission. And she is AMAZING! She went to SVU the year before I did. So we know the same people, took the same classes, had the same professors, went to the same restaurants, etc. I love it. We made MOBO fries for lunch that day. And I am pretty sure I got 50% closer to having a heart attack than I ever have in my life. But it tasted soooooooooo good.
I LVE MOBO FRIES!!!
We got to teach a lesson to a lady named Sister Pico. (I'm not sure if that is the right spelling, sorry!) She is so sweet. She has an electric wheelchair that she uses to get around. And, she is British.  She came across on the Queen Mary with her husband and Pomeranian puppy. They have been in the states less than 10 years. Anyways, she has the most beautiful British accent that I have ever heard in my life. Mom, you would have died to listen to her.
On Friday, I was able to work with Sisters Waite and Hebertson again while our companions were in Loveland at MLC's. That was fun. We were in our area this time. We were able to teach Paula which was awesome. It was our first lesson with her. And she totally needed it. She is struggling hard core and the gospel will bring her and her family so much happiness and joy. I hope that she will come to know through the Spirit that the Gospel is True!
Saturday, Sister Zvirzdin and I went tracting. That was such an awesome experience. We tracted into a young guy named Brett. He is living with his fiance's family and is converting to the Catholic faith so they can have a unified/family religion when they get married. Anyways, he said we could come back on Sunday, so we did. We went back and met him, his, soon to be, father-in-law Tom and his fiance Rachel. They are such an awesome family. We talked to them about the Book of Mormon and answered some of their questions they had about the LDS religion. It was awesome! They live next to one of the families in our ward, so we are going to invite them to invite Brett and his family out to the Lasagna Bake off we are having this Saturday. I really hope they will come!
Anyways, mission life has been awesome as of late! We are still slowly trying to meet every member we have in the Ward. It becomes challenging because some won't open the door and others have moved, but it is fun. I love it.
It was really cool to meet a lady named Roxcyne (Roxeene). She is amazing! She has a son with severe disabilities. He is 17 and was told he wouldn't live past 5. When we stopped by, they were just finishing their preparations to make dinner - elk stake was on the menu. And the offered to let Sister Z and I try a bite since we have never had elk before. It was yummy - way better than beef. Anyways, we were talking with them, and she invited us over to her home to eat dinner. The best thing - she is less active. WHAT?!?! I know shock and awe throughout the land.
Less Active members are not as closed off and grumpy as most people think. They are really very open with their beliefs and have a desire to serve. Most are friendly to missionaries and members. Don't ever give up on someone because they fell away and became less active. They are a Child of God and only he knows when will be the perfect moment for them to desire to come back into the Gospel.
I love you all, and I hope this email finds you well.
I invite you all to review the talk "Safety for the Soul" by Elder Holland  https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2009/10/safety-for-the-soul?lang=eng#watch=video. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it testifies of the Savior Jesus Christ. I know He lives!
Love,
Sister Bryans
