Dun-dun-dun-dun!!!! Choose the Right!

Choose the Right when the weather becomes snowy
Choose the Right it's cold, cold all around
Choose the Right in all clothing you are wearing
For if you don't your buns are gonna freeze
Choose the Right
Choose the Right
Let fleece tights warm your legs while biking fast
Choose the Right
Choose the Right
Or a Snowman you will become very fast

(Please read/sing the above verses to the tune of Choose the Right Hymn #239)

Do you like my song? I wrote it in honor of the upcoming week. We are expecting snow and below freezing temperatures. DELICIOUS! I think....Well, I for sure will look like the the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man with all of the layers I will have on. Thankfully, it will warm up next week.
Anyways, what great things did I learn/do this week? LOTS!
Tuesday we did some finding with a returned missionary from the Prarie Ridge ward that Sister Woods new when she was at BYU Idaho. That was fun! Not a lot of success though. I think only two people opened the door in the two hours we knocked doors. SAD!
But here's a fun story from our finding adventure. A Police man pulled up next to us while we were walking back, so we could go to lunch. And this was our conversation:
Police Man: Hello ladies. Have you seen a big cat around.
Us: Nope
Sister Woods: Oh poor kid, he lost his kitty.
Police Man: Well keep on the look out because there have been reports of a Mountain Lion in the area.
Us: OH!!! That is a big cat. Yikes! Yeah deff, for sure, we'll keep our eyes open.
Police Man: Okay good. Stay together!
Us: We will
Me (later as we were continuing on): I bet someone was high and saw a yellow lab.
Well, it turns out that my hypothesis was false, because there have been many more sightings of the Mountain Lion around our Ward Mission Leaders house and the elementary school. YIKES! Now my thought is, "Hey, maybe we can tame it like Daniel in the Lions Den. Then people would have to listen to our message." That's probably not the best plan, but it was a good thought, right?
Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon, I went on exchanges with Sister DeVoe in the Wellington ward. That was an adventure!
Thursday night, we met with Carly and Sister Ortiz and talked more about Faith and the Book of Mormon and the importance of remembering that you don't have to be perfect and super duper steadfast and immovable with an unshakable testimony in order to be baptized. It was a good discussion. I think we were able to help her a lot. Though, it is still a struggle for her to feel the Spirit right now. We keep trying.
Sunday night, we watched Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration at the Ortiz's house, so hopefully she was able to feel the Spirit during the movie.
Friday, we had a really good experience sharing the gospel at Thrift Rite during our volunteer time there. It was great! I love the employees there so much. And I think many of them will embrace the gospel some day.
We put off our weekly planning until Saturday Morning. We learned that doing it at home isn't very productive, so we came to the Library and worked in one of the Study Rooms, and it was super helpful. We were able to work much more quickly and with less distraction and disruption. It was great!
And Sunday was AAAAAHHHHMMMMAAAAZZZZIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh My Goodness Gravy! I have never learned so much and felt the Spirit so much during any Sacrament Meeting in my life. It was entirely mindblowing. I wish I could have recorded it, so I could share it with everyone.
The speakers were phenomenal. We started with youth speaker: Tate. She is great! She is 13-ish and a total spitfire. She should be in public speaking competitions because she is such a powerful speaker. It was amazing to really see her personality shine through as she spoke about Faith.
The second speaker was Charles. He is in the Marine Corps band, and he just returned from boot camp. He came to church in his dress uniform and as he spoke you could hear the military accent in his voice. It was amazing. He shared some experiences he had while going through boot camp that helped to strengthen his testimony. WOAH! Talk about power, strength, sacrifice, faith and obedience.
The third speaker was Sister Chambers. She just moved here from Hawaii a couple months ago. And she told some amazing stories about snow skiing that really taught her about her relationship  with Heavenly Father and the amount of trust we need to have in him to follow the path that he has laid out for us. She too spoke with power and really engaged the kids. I have never heard the sacrament room so quiet.
Finally we heard from Brother McCaw. I LOVE THAT MAN! His family is fantabulawesomazing too! He talked about the miracles that happen as we sacrifice ourselves to help others. And as a missionary I applied it to say: we must sacrifice ourselves to help others embrace the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. His talk was nontraditional because he engaged the audience as he asked his daughter to sing to him a song from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. (If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it...) And he ended his talk by singing a song about Joseph Smith's experiences in Liberty Jail.
All four of the talks shared during Sacrament meeting were spectacular. They each brought the Spirit so well. They each were unique. And my favorite: each of the speakers let their personality shine through as they explained how a principle of the gospel strengthened their testimonies and helped them grow into the people they are today.
I wish everyone could learn to do that.
Say NO to the Mormon Robot standard and embrace the unique individual son or daughter of God you are!

I hope any of this letter made sense to those reading. It contains a lot of information and nonsense. But that's how I process life....through nonsense and words and more words.
I love this gospel. I know it is true. I love serving in a town and in a mission where a temple is being built. I can see the power and potential of the Love God has for each one of his children. You are all precious in his eyes. He knows you by name, and he has provided a way for you to live with him again. You are all amazing!
Love,
Sister Bryans
