I
hope you heartily enjoyed my little song. I know I did. Ps. Looking
outside, it is gloomy, wet, windy and cold. I feel like I'm bundled up
to my eyeballs.
So how are you all? And the weather, what's it like? Are you up to your eyeballs in snow yet?
Well, I can happily say that I have lots of good things to share this week and to review from last week.
We
have done a lot of service this week. I love it! We opened an
opportunity with a Thrift Store that's just across the street from our
area. Serving there is a lot of fun! I Love it! When we started, we were
organizing the "library" so that they could fit more books and movies
out to be sold. The next time we stopped by, we helped pull a bunch of
items that had been sitting on the shelf for 6 weeks. Awesome! Although,
it's quite terrifying to sort through a bunch of stacked plates and
cups. Yikes! Talk about an accident waiting to happen. *Crash, Boom and
glass everywhere* Not my favorite, but I successfully did it without
losing a single plate. WIN!
We drew some more Plan
of Salvation pictures in the park. This time on a much smaller scale. It
was a lot of fun. Although someone wasn't appreciative of our artwork
and scribbled all over them and dumped water on them a couple days
later. SAD! But hopefully those who did see it liked it and went to
Mormon.org to learn more.
Thursday was the best. We
interviewed with President Brown and had district meeting. The best
thing about Thursday was knowing that it was Nathan's 19th birthday!
BOOM!!!! Well, it was the second best thing. The best thing was teaching
Carly again. We received permission to teach her. YAY! But whoa! It was
an intense lesson. So was the one we had last night. I just love Carly
so much. She is so strong and so persevering, and she has a strong
desire to know for herself. I hope that she continues praying, reading
the Book of Mormon and feeling the Spirit. MUCH LOVE!
Halloween
was an adventure. We had the Halloween party with the ward which was
fun. Most of the costumes were super cute. One family dressed up as
Frozen; another family dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood; there was a
group of zombies and even Mary Poppins and Bert the Chimney Sweep was
there. What did you all dress up as?
Halloween night
was pretty calm. We were in at 6pm. And there were hardly any trick or
treater's out. They were all in Old Town making a trick or treat
carnival/parade of it. Great fun!
We did a lot of
tracting on Saturday. No one wanted to learn more, but at least they
were friendly to us. I also learned about the Eucharist from one lady we
talked to. Tracting isn't the most effective work, but it gets us out
in the community and allows us to invite others to Come Unto Christ, so
it fulfills our purpose.
I'm sending you a file of what I learned from my Personal Study this morning. I hope it make sense.
LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Sister Bryans
