Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life. 3 Nephi 5:13

(That moment when the time bar for the computer you are using gets in the way of the email you're writing. Yep, that just happened.)
Hello Fellow Disciples! How goes the work of the Lord?
The way I see the work moving is as follows: At the time of the Missionary Age Change announcement, we had reached a peak in missionary work. Currently, we are moving downhill at an exceedingly rapid rate due to the insane amount of work that is happening throughout the world. But, the time is not to far distant when we will again be climbing an ever steeper slope up to the peak of the Lord's Second Coming. This climb will be exceedingly difficult due to the wickedness of the world. Yet, the Lord's work will always move forward as long as there is one righteous soul left on the earth. I am so grateful for this knowledge. I know that the gospel message which we share is the only way to find true and everlasting happiness. I love the Lord. And I am honored to be his servant.
So, keep moving forward! Keep sharing your testimony with all the world. The good news of the Gospel of Christ continues to pour forth, and you have the great opportunity to be a part of this work. It's as easy as a click of the mouse or a swipe of the finger. This week has been AWESOME! Elder Bryans is in the MTC. That was a big highlight of the week for me. I'm pretty sure I told almost everyone here who would listen. *HAPPY DANCE* CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
We also had a really great lesson with Dillon G. We were discussing the Doctrine of Christ: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. It is so cool to witness the Spirit working through him as he continues to learn and prepare for his baptism. We have a date now! Dillon will be baptized on April 4th should all go well. I am so excited, and so is he! In fact, I don't know which one of us is more excited?!
Wednesday we had the most spiritual lesson I've ever been a part of with Glen. We have been slowly working through the new member lessons with him. And so this last week we covered the Law of Tithing and the Law of the Fast. Talk about Spirit filled awesomeness! Oh my goodness! I haven't felt the Spirit that strong while teaching a lesson in a while.
It has just been so cool to reflect on my life, our families life and our branch family to see how much tithing and fasting has really made a difference. I think of the branch fast we did a few years back for Sister George, Brother Mueller and Sister Kramer. I also think of the first year or so after we moved to Wisconsin while we were waiting for the house in Michigan to sell. And I think of the countless number of hours I have worked to save for college and my mission, so that I wouldn't have to go into debt, and so that I could support myself. There have been so many miracles!
On Thursday, we had two dinners. We ate dinner with Chris and his wife Alisha. We had steak and asparagus. Ok so here is what I learned from that dinner. I learned that Christ makes really good steak. (I don't usually like steak. But his was REALLY good.)
Our second dinner was with the Schou family. They are a non-member family that have started investigating the church because they want to raise their children with a Christian lifestyle. Brother Schou is the coolest! He shared with us a few experiences he has had following the Spirit. It was really cool to see how in tune he already is and how willing he is to follow promptings. We taught them the Message of the Restoration, and hopefully, this week, we will be able to teach them again. I know without a shadow of a doubt that they will come to accept the gospel. And I am excited that I am able to be a part of that journey.
I just love the people in this ward SOOOOOOO much! We had a really fun dinner with the Bennett family Sunday night. They are so great! Each Sunday they come to church wearing matching clothes in some way. Usually, similar colors or patterns or whatnot. I think the coolest thing I learned about them is that they lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for a couple of years of their married life as Brother Bennett was doing his Masters program. :D (I just love the South SOOOOOOO MUCH!)
So yeah, I think that is all I have learned so far this week. Saturday March 28th, we find out about transfers. I have mixed emotions about it. I love this area. I love the ward. And I love those that we are able to work with on a regular basis. But I am ready for a change - a new area, a new companion, a new ward. I would love to serve in Greeley, CO before the end of my mission which is coming a lightning speed. Elsewhere in the mission would be cool too. But no matter what happens, I know the Lord is in charge. I know he has a purpose and plan for me in each area I go to. I know that my steps are marked out, and my work is the Lords. I will go where he needs me to go. And I will work as hard as I can until my job here is done.
I love you all. I hope you stay safe wherever you are. Watch out for crazies. But love them as children of God nonetheless.
Love,
Sister Bryans
