Hi all!
Today begins the last week of the Transfer. Can you believe
it? This transfer has just FLOWN BY! I feel like it was just yesterday that I
became companions with Sister Guymon and we had Dillan's Baptism and General
Conference. And now we're almost to Mother's Day...CRAZY!
And I just.....I don't even know where to begin.
This week was super awesome! We were able to meet with all 5
of our investigators. AWESOME! I'm pretty sure we have some of the coolest
investigators ever.
We were able to meet with Amanda Y. She is so cute! things with her are moving exceedingly slow, but it is so cool to see that the Spirit still works within her. We watched the #BecauseHeLives Easter video, and seeing the peace that came over her by the time it was over was so powerful. No matter how long it takes, I know that she will someday join the church.

We had a really great lesson with the Schou's. <3 I just
love them SOOOOOO MUCH! We read 2 Nephi 31 with them and talked about the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. And it was so cool to see their desires come out. They
both are seeking to be accountable for their actions, and they really want to
have a specific plan laid out for them. And the best! Kendra was able to get
Mother's Day Sunday off, and so they will hopefully be at church next week.
BOOM! *happydance*
We also met with Lisa this week. It has been an eternity
since we have been able to meet with her because she's been super sick. But
thankfully, Heavenly Father made it possible for us to meet this week. We still
only read the Book of Mormon with her, but she also still wants to come to
church. And we are hoping that we can actually start teaching her the lessons
now. I sure hope so.
And we also had a super duper fantastic and amazing lesson
with Chris. I just love him so much! The youth in our ward are SOOOOO
missionary minded and so willing to talk to and invite their friends to learn
about the gospel. It's amazing! We taught him the gospel of Jesus Christ in the
same way that we taught the Schou's. And it went super well. The Spirit was
there, and it was SUPER strong! He knows that he needs to join the church. I'm
sure of it. Hopefully, we will be able to set him with a baptismal date this
week for May 23rd.
Another highlight for this week was District Meeting. I
finally gave my second training. Haha! So the first training I gave in Cheyenne
when I was still with Sister Z, and I finally - over a year later - gave my
second one.
Anyways - it was really good and I came about giving it in
such a unique way. I actually asked to give the training which is a terrifying
experience coming from someone who doesn't like to be the center of attention -
especially not when doing a public speaking assignment. But I asked, and
was told that I could give the training.
So I gave the training on receiving revelation through
prayer. I JUST LOVE PRAYER SO MUCH! It has been so cool to see how much my
prayers have changed recently. SO SO COOL! I shared Elder Bednar's Mormon
Message video series: Patterns of Light, and asked a bunch of questions. And
then for our activity, I had us all receive personal revelation from Heavenly
Father in the form of a letter. I shared this with Elder N. Bryans last week.
but this is how the Letter Writing Activity goes: "Basically what you do
is pray and seek for inspiration and revelation. Ask for your heart and mind to
be opened to an outpouring of the Spirit. And then you just write a letter to
yourself from Heavenly Father. All the thoughts that go through your head,
write them down. It can be long or short depending on what you need. Anyways -
I just think it is a really neat way to receive personal revelation."
I think you all should try it. I know that the times I have
used it have been such a blessing and a comfort to me. And I know that the Lord
was truly leading and guiding my thoughts and my pen.
I love you all and I hope you are all doing well. I'll be
calling home for Mother's Day and we can talk more then. Transfers are the next
day - Monday, so I might not have a chance to email you next week.
I LOVE YOU ALL! Be good. Stay Safe. Follow the Spirit. Trust
the Lord with all your heart. He Lives! Remember to Pray!
Love,
Sister Bryans
