I leave for Japan in two weeks! The end is in sight! However
this week met with much sadness as well. Elder Nevarez ,Our dear friend and
fellow servant of the Lord, was sent home on May the second. It was a hard blow
for all of us. However his faith and example of humility were to be envied.
We will miss him.
On a related note I got my Old companion back! (great now I
have two companions!) We all get along fairly well though with three of us
stuck together like this the testosterone tends to fly in nun too helpful of
ways. But I love them both and hope they forgive me for my shortcomings just
like I forgive Elder Connett for eating all my candy (Just kidding we're sharing).
On Sunday our First Counselor in the BP (branch presidency)
shared a thought about when climbing a mountain, it's not as important
how much progress you make towards the summit. It's the direction you're facing
that counts.
