Hi yall!
This is my second week on the island! As promised there will
be pictures with this email but no really good ones (sorry). We've
been spending a lot of time on the streets recently. Not many appointments with
people but that just means we're sharing testimony on the streets! We actually
met a new investigator yesterday named Ryota and he apparently has already read
the entire Book of Mormon. Way cool! right? You may be wondering why the title
of this email is what it is. Well last Friday we did service for one of the
less active sisters in the branch. We were working in her yard moving trash,
dirt and foliage from all sorts of trees. WE FOUND BUGS THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN
SEEN BEFORE! There was a centipede with really long daddy-long-leg-like legs,
cockroaches everywhere, bugs with two inch long pincers, and if that wasn't
enough there were TARANTULAS! There were only three redeeming factors: first
there were lots of cute little crabs crawling around eating the smaller bugs. Second there were salamanders just chillin' in the water that we played around
with(so cute!) and there was a lizard that crawled up my arm and jumped into
the woods(so cool!). Oh, and the sister also fed us so that was good too. She
gave us forks because "their foreigners so they'll probably need
them". We all used chopsticks.
Well that's all for this email. If I ever see those bugs
again I'll be sure to send a picture!
I love you all!

PS My companion is a
home-schooled red-head from UT so yeah we get along well! He's been out for 1.5
years so he's pretty experienced. Our branch is ~10 active members.
