This week on NAZE

Hello everyone,
As you can see from the subject line I'm still in NAZE! However, not everyone in Naze was safe. Sadly, Elder Bunker has been transferred to Okinawa. He has been replaced by Elder DeLaPaz who is from California and is a first generation member! He is quite the inspiration! I am still companions with Elder Ogawa so I'm most likely going to "kill" him off. (Be his last companion.)
One of the members of the English class, Mika, didn't know who'd be
transferring so she bought all of us an Amami thing this is what she got us... 

Yeah, pretty good right? We also did s'mores on the beach which they said they had never done before. Then Elder Ogawa dug this tunnel with Elder Bunker...That's him in it. It was a lot of fun! 
  

I also discovered that there is a Leper Colony on the island which was surprising to say the least. Not much excitement this week. 
Yesterday we found a praying mantis on the flowers at the church, so we did what any normal person would do... We found a fly and tried to make it eat it. The mantis was too distracted by us, so the fly escaped! I just wanted to kill us.
  

August 15th was the commemoration of the Hiroshima bombing. And believe it or no, we met a man who was around when it happened! Mister Izumi is his name, and he was a kid when it happened. He said that his home in Kobe was being bombed when it happened and that he could feel the earth shake with every bomb! It was cool talking to him.
