Another week another email

Hi everyone,
As I promised I have tones of pictures from our adventure in Setouchi, the place about an hour south of Naze. We visited the mangrove forest and... yeah did like nothing. Just a lot of trees. After that we hiked a mountain and took pictures of the view from the top. It was crazy we could see forever! Then we went to a beach with really big round rocks. Elder Powell went into a sea cave and then a big wave came in and soaked him from head to toe. It was funny. I took lots of pictures on that beach. The rocks are literally the size of my head!

The Zone Leaders came for splits with the senior companions so us juniors were left alone to preach the gospel to the world! It wasn't too bad actually Elder DeLaPaz is a spiritual powerhouse! Though there were many times where he looked back at me and asked what people had said to which I would often reply "Just follow the spirit."
This coming week is my companion's last full week as a missionary! So come next week I'll have a new companion. In other news one of our church members has perfectly and completely disappeared he's not at home ( because Elder Powell and Elder DeLaPaz "invited themselves" into his house to make sure he wasn't dead or dying there because he lives alone) and he's not in the hospital ether. So yeah we're going to call the police if he doesn't answer his phone when we call him today.

On Friday we met with a potential investigator and low and behold her mothers priest was sitting there talking to her mom. When he came outside she instantly asked if the priest would like to talk to us too. I instantly forgot how to speak Japanese! Fortunately he had an hour drive to get home so he just left. Man! I was that close to a bible bash with a catholic priest! Yikes!
One last highlight for this week. So Elder Ogawa and I were out tracting houses and we were being turned down by everyone. Eventually I expressed my frustration to Elder Ogawa. "It's Sunday" I said "where are the miracles?" What he said to me really stuck. He said "because God loves us He's not going to give us miracles until we've done all we can on our own." I thought a lot about that statement. Finally I decided that since I had done all I could that day we could se a miracle if we tried one last time. I told Elder Ogawa "let's go make a miracle!" We got on our bikes and road away from where we were standing I was looking around at the houses and suddenly I almost ran into the fence of somebody's house. We both took that for a sign we knocked on the door and she was the nicest person we had met all night turns out she had gone to our English class in the past and didn't know it was still going on. So we gave her a flyer and told her to come when she had the time. We left both feeling ten times better than before, and we both felt like it was a miracle, Elder Ogawa said I called it. God will give us what we need when we need it but we need to do our part to.
I love you all stay safe!
Elder Bryans
P.S. Here are my pictures!
