Hi everyone!
I hope you enjoyed all the pictures last week because I have like no pictures this week!
This week was not as eventful as last week because a good 45% of it was spent outside of our area. And 80% of that time was spent traveling. We were going to Kumamoto to see Elder Choi (pronounced Chē) who I believe is an area seventy. He told us all sorts of stuff about how to see more baptisms in our areas and how to better master our mission language.
We went to Taniyama after the conference. It was actually really weird seeing places that have trains and … stores. Amami has nothing! We spent Thursday with the Taniyama Elders and they introduced me to the "Tim-tam slam" which was actually not as hard as they said it would be. (Just so you know Tim-tams are an Australian cookie that's dipped in chocolate and you can drink milk through it.)
We got back home Friday morning at 5:00 Oh I almost forgot! Tuesday was Elder DeLaPas' birthday and Saturday was Elder Ogawa's! We celebrated both of them Saturday with a big cake, party poppers and fried chicken!
So now we get to Sunday. After church we went to the sports festival at Amami high school. It was hardcore! There was screaming and fans and drums! I made a video of last years champions doing their performance I'll send it in another email.
Umm yeah today Iwamoto Kaicho (the branch president) is taking us south to do…something. I don't know yet. I'll send pictures of it when we get back or next week depending on how long we take.
I love you all!
Elder Bryans
*Family side note* When Elder Bryans mentioned the "Tim-tam Slam" we were confused and did a little research on the Google to discover what exactly that was. We found a picture explaining the process and we're adding that for your understanding and enjoyment. And just so you know, Tim-tams are available at most Targets. (we know what we're doing today.)
