Dear loved ones,
This week was delightful!!! =D As is all weeks. I know
that God loves us and desires to bless and help His children through us. One of
my favorite scriptures is 1st Nephi 1 :20 "...But behold, I, Nephi, will
show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he
hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty..." I have seen
many of these tender mercies this week.
One was when we went to visit Richard. It was an
unplanned visit, but we felt like it would be good to at least stop by. When we
saw Richard he was upset and struggling. Life is getting tough right now
because Satan is really trying to shake his foundation. But we were able to
encourage him and share our love for him. We reminded him how important it is
to be reading from the Book of Mormon and praying sincerely. He thanked us
before we left and said that he really needed this visit.
Another was when we met Marium. We were knocking doors
and talking to everyone when we biked into a woman who was Muslim. We knew more
than likely she wouldn't want to change her faith but we talked with her
anyway. There was a bit of a language barrier so we were struggling to
communicate well. But we were trying. That's when her 11 yr old daughter Marium
came over to help. And we had a really nice discussion asking them questions
about what they believe and sharing our very basic beliefs. When we got ready
to leave Marium thanked us for our service and dedication and also for being so
kind. She got a little emotional when she said that so few people asked her
questions and respected her beliefs so talking to us really meant a lot. It was
such a beautiful and humbling experience.
We also saw a miracle when we followed to woman biking
because Sister Bolos received a prompting that we should. Believe it or not
they led us straight to a former investigator, Chuck. And he is so golden!!! He
would be baptized but as he said, "He doesn't have someone to be sealed
to" so until she's ready he's waiting to join. He said he first met
members at his work in another state. And he said they were such good people
and so kind he was very impressed. He said what impressed him the most about
our religion is that out of all the church's and religions he truly felt like
the Mormons cared the most about him and his family. It was so humbling.
Members who live what they know and are open about their beliefs make a huge
difference in the lives of others. And you are always planting seeds!
Sister Bolos was also one of the tender mercies this
week. I am so grateful she was chosen as my trainer and first companion. She is
such a great example of love and service and dedication. She is such a wonderful
missionary and we have grown so close in these past few weeks. I am so grateful
for her love and support. Truly she has been a blessing this week and has help
me so much! I love her!!!
I love all y'all. <3
Sister Bryans
This may be my favorite picture <3 We had to share a 30ish second about how much we love each other and it made me cry.. Lol I can't believe she leaves me in like 2 weeks.
And we took a picture after changing the tire... But Sister Bolos has it and she forgot to charge her iPad so I don't have it yet.. I'll send it next week.
Love everyone!!!
