What happened!

Dear friends and family,

So this week has already been a roller coaster of events! So Tuesday was the call for transfers and we found out that Elder Rostrom and Elder Housekenecht are going to Kadena in Okinawa and Yatsushiro in Kumamoto. I'll miss those guys.

My new companion is Elder Roncal. He's from Chiba Japan and he's only 1/4 Japanese and the rest of him is Peruvian. He's a way fun guy. Then things changed... We got a call from the Mission President Saturday morning and he told us that an elder in Taniyama was sick and it was bad enough that he was being sent home to the USA. Naturally the Elder in Taniyama needs a new companion so Elder Mathews was called to replace the sick elder. He left yesterday after church. So this means that Sendai is now a three-man area which means I have TWO companions. Elder Roncal and Elder VanAlfen. Elder VanAlfen was my District Leader when I was in Nobeoka so I know him pretty well already. We're going to have an adventure!
