Merry Christmas to all! I hope you had a very blessed day
(:
I am setting the new years goal to write better emails,
so here goes!!
Monday last week was district pday. We made tie-die
shirts and played white elephant. It was quite fun. Afterwards we went to
dinner with the Darden's, it was tasty and very fun. Then we tried LAs on our
drive homeward, it was good but unsuccessful. :\ Tuesday was district meeting.i
gave a training and I think it was pretty good. Then we went district caroling
to a nursing home nearby.
Then we went to lunch with the Arlington sisters. It was fun, we got to know each
other better and had some good discussions about our areas. Then we went and
decorated Christmas cookies with an older sister, it was a blast! And also
Sister Thomas made oreo truffles, so easy and so much yum. :) Then we went to
see the Langenfeld's, it was a pretty good lesson led by Sister Thomas.
Committed them to make church attendance a gift to Jesus Christ this Christmas
season. They said they would come to church and we had high hopes. Then we met
the elders and i got a blessing, I was feeling a little discouraged with life
and needed some council. I am so grateful for worthy priesthood holders. Then
we went and ate pizza in our car (ordered by a member) and then had a caroling
golden hour. During it we met a nice lady who had met with LDS missionaries
before. We set a return appointment and we have high hopes.
Wednesday we did service at farm share. Then we came home
and ate lunch. Then we did a golden hour, met quite a few nice people and
invited so many people to church it was awesome!! Then we had a lesson with one
of our investigators and re-invited her to baptism, we addressed her concerns
and if our next lesson goes well i feel like baptism could follow. Then we were
able to see brother butler. He had gotten the missionaries each a Christmas
present, he was our previous ward mission leader and due to health reasons was
released. Then we had a little more golden hour, it helped us reach like all
our goals.
YAY! Then Sister Jolley gave us a ride to the church. And
sad news the Jolley's are moving to New Jersey in January. But it'll be good
for
them. After our scripture class, Which btw was out of this world, we
had a choir dress rehearsal. Right at the end a recent
convert had a panic anxiety attack and we had to call the EMT's it was really
stressful and we didn't get home until 10:30 that night. O.o Thursday was
weekly planning. Before we did that we went to orange park with sister jolley
for an appointment, then we went to lunch. It was so much fun! We love her
<3 after wards we planned and then went to visit Julia (the recent convert
from Wednesday). She was okayish, we just visited and tried to encourage her.
Then we went to dinner with the Gerry's a LA couple, it was a good dinner and
we invited them to church too. Then we did a caroling golden hour, it was fun
and we saw a few members too.
Friday we dealt with all the drama. No details..sorry.
But lets just stay it was making us crazy, and to top it all off Sister Thomas
bike got stolen. Bummer. :\ in the evening we went caroling as a zone at the
Jacksonville landing. It was way fun!
Saturday was Christmas eve. It was a blast!! We spent the
morning with the Buckey's, our Florida family. They took us to the cheesecake
factory and it was amazing! Then we went caroling again to some members and
then we had dinner with the elders and the Gathro family (our ward mission
leader) it was so nice. We sat and talked and santa came to the neighborhood
and it was relaxing. That night we watched Legacy and then slept on our beds on
the floor.
Sunday was
christmas!! We started early opening a few presents. Then we went to the lee's
for breakfast and it was so yummy and so nice. I love them!! Then we went to
Church and the Christmas program was beautiful. Loved it!! Then we went home
and opened the rest of our presents. Then to the Aten's for late lunch and
skypeing family. It was so nice. Then we went to the smiths with the elders and
ate again, it was nice to be with them they are awesome. Then we all decided to
go visit josh and watch the lights. And then home again, i went to bed a little
early. I was pretty tired.
This week will be amazing and I am so excited!!
I love you all so much. I am thankful for all you do!
<3 All my love, Sister Bryans
