Dear friends and family,
This week flew by like lightening, and the changes came
rapid fire. I am very excited for the week ahead mostly because I am about
healed and able to actually start working! Yay (:
Monday we rested, Sister Clay had another bad
nose bleed so she was told us had to go to the ER. She wasn't so happy, we
ended up texting the ZLs so they could come and give her a blessing. They were
pretty excited to see us answer it was a good blessing. Then at 12 the Duling's
came and Izzy stayed with me while they went to the ER. They got back with no good
news and sadly they hadn't been much help. We decided to leave the apartment
and go to the Church to email, sadly the weekly I had worked so hard on didn't
send and didn't save as and dad draft... :( just riding the struggle buss. I
wasn't feeling so good and was emotional so we decided to take the Lee's up on
their offer and went to the mission home for the night. We got there as they
were finishing a FHE with Dusty and the YSA elders. It was neat to see them
all. Then we watched the woman's conference and ate popcorn. It was so nice and
I just love them!
Tuesday we spent with the Lee's. Seriously I
love and adore them the most out of everyone right now! They made us waffles
for breakfast and then we had our Missionary Leadership call. It was a good
call and there was and lot of inspired council given. Afterwards sister clay
and I did a little planning and made some phone calls before I was sent back to
bed. I haven't been sleeping so well and I needed some extra rest anyway. When
I got up we ate some lunch, the assistants were there helping finalize for the
zone conferences this week. After Lunch we went out and fed the ducks and the
fishes. It's President Lee's favorite relaxing hobby. I've never seen fish eat
bread but they were about jumping out of the water to get it. We also fed some
ducks and then 2 geese and a turtle. It was really fun and very relaxing. Then
we listen to Elder Britch (an assistant) practice his musical number for zone
conference. It was really beautiful! Right before we left I asked President Lee
if we could have an interview. It was one of the best I've ever had! I have no
doubt in my mind that I was called to serve here to be with President Lee. I
received so much council and wisdom it really offered some peace that I was desperately
seeking. And he is just so loving, honestly he's just about the most Christlike
man I have ever met. On our way home we took the car to the shop and then I
rested and sister clay did a little packing. In the evening I stayed with
Sister Webster and sister clay went with Lindsay to teach a few lessons. Sister
Webster and I had a nice visit and I helped her decide to put up an aquarium,
haha. Nice to be needed.
Wednesday was zone conference but I didn't go,
instead I spent the day with the Duling's. I love them! They are a cute
homeschooling family and I felt right at home. :) I taught them a paper picture
game and they loved it. We really had so much fun it was great! Then we rested
in the evening, watched some of the district.
Thursday I was with Sister Armstrong because
our companions were at the temple. It was a nice day, I slept for a few hours
and we took a walk. We invited and few dozen people to general conference and
did and little weekly planning. We watched the testaments and a member brought
us pizza for dinner. I felt really blessed and strengthen to get out and work
Friday!
Friday we went to subway for lunch with the
Holmes' and then came home and Sister Clay finished off My Plan and then we
finished weekly planning. I rested for a bit in between, and a member brought
us dinner from Panera it was nice and included cookies! Yum. Then we went out
with the Nhiev's (Bishop and his wife) and tried a few people. We ended up
visiting a cute LA family and inviting them at conference. I was pretty
exhausted so it was nice come home, before bed we had transfer call. Dum, dum,
da! I am staying in Normandy and Sister Tryon is coming from Fleming Island to
be my companion. I am very excited it is going to be amazing! There were a lot
of changes, but I felt in my heart they were inspired. And now it's official
sister clay in going home. I think she ready and pretty excited so that's good.
Saturday was GREAT! I was out and about the
whole day! The first session of conference was beautiful. President Nelson gave
such a great talk. It was so neat and it made me decide to memorize The Living
Christ before next conference. (: in between sessions we had an ice cream
social and had invited many, many people sadly we didn't have that great a turn
out. I was a little bummed but that's okay. The Duling's came and I think it's
official they've adopted me. Haha. The second session was also sister Good! I
learned so much. Afterwards we signed transfer journals and flags and then the
bishops invited us sisters to stay for dinner before the priesthood session. It
was nice and a neat experience. It is very, very different than how sisters get
together lol. I also felt very inspired to do some family history so I took a
little time wrote a memory about Grandipops, I always published it for anyone
who would like to read it. :)
Sunday was a peaceful and spiritually
uplifting, I was moved. I especially loved President Monson talk, truly the
Book of Mormon is so important and if you're not reading it every day it's time
to get started! I am going to be starting it over today and I invite all of
y'all to start with me. As we go along I'll share a favorite scripture each
week and I promise you, you will be blessed. Those who are struggling with
their children, you will be find the answers, help and council you need. Those
struggling with trial or affliction or heartache, you will find the peace the
gospel offers. Those whose faith may be wavering or may feel lost you will find
the truth again and your testimony will grow. I promise each of you that the
blessings from following the council of our dear beloved Prophet will go far
beyond anything we can comprehend. So just try IT! What have you got to
loose?
I love you all. I love our Prophet I know he is called of God
to lead his people. I know that if we will heed to the voice of our priesthood
leaders we will be blessed. There is so much joy in the gospel! I love being a
missionary and I love being given this time to serve the Lord with all my
heart, might, mind and strength. I pray for you always and I hope you have a
blessed week!
all my love, Sister Bryans

Dear Sister Bryans, We are so happy that you are feeling better and recuperating nicely! It is great that the members, your mission president, and your investigators are taking such good care of you! Thank you for your testimony! Love, Judy and Steve George
