Aloha all! And happy Easter to you too! (:
This week was busy! But soooooo good! Miracles continue to
abound here and I am delightfully happy and healthy.
Monday was a good pday, we just sorta laid low,
we spent like 2 hours just talking and resting in bed it was nice. Then we went
and rearranged our apartment it was nice and now it feels much more home-y. Then
we went shopping and got plenty of food and some command hooks so we could hang
things on the wall. Then we looked at plants and found some cute succulents on
clearance and got a cute pot too. Now our apartment is just so cute and home-y.
Yay! Photo 1. Are they not perfect?!? I love them, still working on the names
though haha ;)
Tuesday we went to lunch with a cute LA sister
it was really nice. She's really sweet and very less active but it was good.
Then we went and had 3 lessons with 3 different members it was amazing. I
love this ward and this area. We just keep seeing miracles!! The highlight was
that we finally got to see Janel, Dusty's Mom, it was such a good spiritual
lesson and she committed to come to church. We have very high hopes. Cuteness
of the day Sister Tryon left me a little note during studies, photo 2. She's
the best companion ever!
Wednesday was a little stressful. We were still
struggling to finalize our trainings for Thursdays Zone Meeting. We ended up
feeling a bit overwhelmed so we got a blizzard and got down to business. It was
awesome because the Lord truly stepped in and gave us inspiration and our home
was such a holy place.
Thursday was our zone meeting and miracle of
miracles it went really well! Sister Tryon and I were able to work together in
unity and perchance training expressed the thoughts and intents of our leaders.
I think everyone felt the spirit. After our meeting we went to Applebee's for
lunch and it was pretty good and very unifying. In the evening I had an
experience that has completely changed my mission and my life. We went by to
speak with a less active member, Brother Enos, he invited us in and we visited
with him. His wife was there but wasn't at all interested in speaking with us.
As we spoke with him my heart began to break. He had no understanding of the
gospel or the atonement. He said he had lived his life and wouldn't be doing
any death bed repenting because he didn't want to mock God. He completely
disregarded the atonement and it's power to help us change. The really sad part
for me was when he outright said there were other kingdoms in heaven and he'd
find a place. He just seemed so lost and so sad. We left that lesson and I
cried and cried in the car, all I wanted was to find the one because I couldn't
bare the thought of someone being in that situation because I hadn't opened my
mouth! So we knocked doors at 8:45 at night and I really think we did find the
one! It was a miracle and a tender mercy. But I feel as though I have had a
fire ignited in me and all I want is to find, teach and baptize because there
are people who are lost and broken and need what we have. That night I had a
good conversation with Heavenly Father about it and now I have this rule that
if I see someone, I open my mouth! Because perfect love casteth out all fear.
It was such a good learning and refocusing experience for me.
Friday we weekly planned and did service for a
few hours with Sister Webster. She is such a cutie! I love her! The we had
a trade off with the Timuquana sisters. I was with Sister Driggs in our
area and Sister Tryon went with Sister Armstrong to theirs. Sister Driggs is
such an amazing missionary, I was in awe watching her teach and testify. When
she taught about repentance to one of our investigators she said something
really profound. She said true repentance happens when you finish your prayer
and get up and act. She is one of the hardest workers ever, she was willing to
give her all to the work. She really understands why she is out here and it's
amazing how much love she has for those around her. I loved getting to know her
and her story. Truly it was so rewarding to be with her. And we both worked
really hard to accomplish her goal to talk with everyone and it lead to so
many miracles!! We were able to find a new investigator at 9! It was awesome (:
Heavenly Father is learning he can trust us so he is placing people in our
paths who will receive our message. It's such a great feeling! Photo 3
Saturday we traded back and Sister Tryon and I
spent the evening trying LA's in the area. It was a lot of work but we did it
and it was pretty rewarding! Along our way we found a pig and a dog that had
escaped from home so we took care of them before heading on, just another way
to find. It was awesome! Photo 4
Sunday was Easter! So fun, sacrament meeting
was beautiful and I really felt at spirit. After church we had studies before
going to dinner with the Nhiev's. It was a nice treat. We found this beautiful
cross along our way and had to take pictures with it! Photo 5.
And by a LA we
saw this church and it had the best sign on the exit ever!!! Photo 6. Loved
it!!
And that was our week. It was amazing and I loved every
moment of it! I loved this Easter weekend and the special spirit it
brought. I know Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. He lives and he loves
us. I am forever grateful for all he has done and I truly stand in amazement
and awe of it. I have such a testimony of this great work and I Love being a
missionary!!
All my love, Sister Bryans
