Hello
my dear loved ones,
Hey
y'all! as you may have noticed from the subject line I am NOT being
transferred!! Sister Beecher and I are staying in Oak Leaf another transfer.
And I am so happy, I love my companion oodles and she is just so
adorable. Come Wednesday she will no longer be a green-bean but will be on
to her second transfer. :D
What
a week it has been! We started off with interviews on Tuesday. I love President
Lee so much!! He is such a joy to serve with, seriously so much love. We had
one of the best district meetings ever. So much love in the room. And my
district decided to pray for the needs of each other it really brought a spirit
of unity.
Judy is doing wonderfully! She really is progressing towards baptism on
the 19th and She is so happy. It's amazing to watch the spirit change her life,
and I am so happy for her. This week we knew we needed to teach the word
of wisdom so we left her with the pamphlet on Tuesday, planning to teach the
lesson on Thursday. When we went back on Thursday one of the first things she
told us was that she had gotten rid of her tea and coffee (even her coffee
maker) and was ready to be baptized now. We were thrilled! She is just so
prepared and I know that as she obeys she is finding answers to questions and
the spirit is just filling her life. I am so grateful for this opportunity to
teach her. This week we will be discussing temples because she has some
questions, I know the temple is already her goal and I love that. And the Ward
just adores her, it's been fun to watch people open their hearts to her and I
know she loves it also.
We found a new investigator this week! It was amazing because it was a
door-step lesson. It was so good and it really lifted Sister Beecher's spirits.
It's a slow process but things are getting better and this area is growing. I'm
really grateful we are staying in this Ward, we've set a lot of foundation and
I'm excited to see what miracles happen this transfer.
I wanted to share I had some amazing studies Sunday morning before
church. I studied 3rd Nephi 5:13, and specifically what disciple and discipleship
is. I learned that disciple in Latin means a learner. And as disciples of Jesus
Christ we are learning to think and feel and act as he does. We are applying
the atonement in our life so we can be transformed and become as he is. I felt
the spirit so strongly because I am a Disciple of Jesus Christ, I am not
perfect I still fall short but I'm learning and striving every day to become
like he is. I love him as my savior and friend. And I am so grateful for his
love for me. Truly I feel like I am changing who I am, and I'm so grateful for
this opportunity to serve.
I love each of you so much and know that you are always in my prayers. xoxoxo
