We also did service at the Goodwill and also at the VA hospital. It was a lot of fun. I think I told you about the guy that plays the American Indian Flute sometimes when we are there. Anyways... he brought me a flute. A flute for me to keep. It is the prettiest little flute ever. He said it is in the key of C. I love it so much! Someday soon, I will take a picture with it and send it to you.
On Friday - life was crazy! We had a really long planning session and some
crazy nonsense in the morning. But, we were able to meet with Sister Barrett
which was awesome. We read Enos 1 with her. She's a super cute lady. And we also
visited Roxcyene! I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!! We talked about everything with her.
She's a humble rebel. It's cute. She told us the story of when she got her first
tattoo. Her husband didn't want her to do it, so she did it. The rest of the
story is better, but I'll save that for another time. Anyways, I really want her
and her husband to be sealed in the temple. That is my goal for them. It will
take quite a bit of work, but I know with the Lord's help; it will happen.
And then we went to IHOP because the member we were going to eat with
wasn't feeling well, so they gave us money to go out to eat. I LOVE PANCAKES AND
EGGS AND HASH BROWNS oh my! Quote from my journal, "I should be in a diabetic
coma right now."
Saturday was fun. We again had some crazy weather - rain and hail. No big
deal... although our car really needs a bath because of it. Sister Christensen
took the time to wrap me up like a burrito after lunch because I laid back down
on my bed. That was an adventure. :D Again, pictures will come. ;)
Sunday was a fun adventure as well. I'm pretty sure my spirit was about
ready to explode in sadness. It's really hard to drop/be dropped by an
investigator. It is even harder to be dropped by a less active. Especially one
that was doing so well before she began working. (Sister Z you should know who
this is.) Anyways.... I was about ready to cry. So we sat in the Church's
parking lot afterwards and pondered what we might be able to do. We ended up
telling the Relief Society president and will tell the Bishop soon.
We ate dinner with the Belnap's which was fun. They fed us hamburgers. They
were very good for being made out of beef. (I still like bean burgers best.)
Anyways - Sister Belnap has a new job working at Buckle, so she won't be at
church for a while. It makes me sad. I can promise anyone that, if they at least
make time for church whether of not they have to work on Sunday or not, they
will be blessed in their efforts. I know that's true because I have had to work
on Sunday's.
But yeah.... rant over.
I love you all!!!
