Hello All. This week has been full of adventures.
I was able to celebrate two birthdays found on different sides of the world during this past week. (Happy Birthday Sister Harris - expect great things in the mail.) As well as party it up with Sister M. Johnson on Saturday.
We taught two lessons to Athene and visited with all of our favorite people so we could say goodbye. (We knew one of us was getting transferred, and we knew we'd find out on Saturday at 9:00pm.)
Tuesday was Mormon.org day, so I was able to watch Elder Bednar's education week broadcast about technology. It was AMAZING! If you haven't seen it yet you totally should watch it....LIKE RIGHT NOW!!!! Ps. you should also make sure your Mormon.org profiles are updated and share them with the world.
I continue to train myself in the art of house cleaning. I am pretty sure I am a professional at it because I have been able to clean some pretty terrifying houses recently. Not okay, but.... service is as service does.
Friday I had my final appointment with Dr. St. Claire. She's a good lady. But our appointment times got hustled and jostled around, so Sister Johnson and I instead went to the Foothills mall which is under construction. And we walked there. And we walked to and from there very fast! It was insane! But we didn't get rained on which was good. But I am pretty sure our walk was about 3 miles round trip. Anyways - because Sister Johnson's birthday was the next day, I took her to the Butter Cream Cupcakery and bought her a cupcake. Delicious!
Saturday....DUN DUN DUN!!! Happy Birthday Sister Johnson. Happy Transfer Doctrine day. We had a really fun birthday celebration with the Gardner's, Hernandez's and the Wellington/Terry Lake Elders. Grill food, virtual darts/golf and an ice cream cake. Such a blast!
Then, we ran off to our appointment with the Hirschi family, so we could teach a lesson and listen to transfer doctrine. My favorite thing about the Hirschi family is that they are homeschooling there kids. WAY TO GO!!! Not to mention, they are just the best. Really supportive and super sweet. and the kids are pretty entertaining as well.
And then the call came:
T-R-A-N-S-F-E-R D-O-C-T-R-I-N-E
As we were listening to the call, we learned that quite a few of the missionaries were moving around, Including me! I have been transferred into the Timberline Ward in Fort Collins to be in a Tripanionship with Sisters Smith and Jacobson and riding Bike. WOOT WOOT! I have wanted to be on bike/in a tripanionship for a REALLY LONG TIME. And this transfer, my dream came true. Woot Woot!!!!!!! So I have bruises on my bottom and helmet hair, but I LOVE it. Biking in a skirt is actually a whole lot easier than it seemed. (Sister Z, do you remember when you rode bike in Eastridge and destroyed a skirt, your leggings and your tights?)
Pobre Sister Johnson...She was so upset that she wasn't transferred. We were both expecting her to be the one to go. She has been in Parkwood the longest. She doesn't have that much longer on her mission. And she had told everyone she was leaving, so it was going to look really bad if she didn't... and she didn't. She is now working in Parkwood with Sister Carbno who came out with me. I think they will do well together.
So Sunday, I said some goodbyes and took some pictures and began packing. We ate with one of the famous food bloggers from our ward: Sister Averett and her family. (Ona you should start a food blog.) We had cauliflower soup, and it was really good! And we ended the night with a visit to the O'hare's house. One of the black holes of the ward. You go there expecting the appointment to last an hour and really it lasts much longer. Ps. There flooring is mostly completed. YAY!
Monday was labor day. And Sister Johnson and I were so much in the Monday mode, that we drove to the library anyways only to be reminded that it was Labor day. AWKWARD! So we drove around instead and toured Old Town and went shopping and ate at Hu Hott. (The more I eat there the more I think it's a bad idea because every time I do, I get sick afterwards.) Then we went to Chippers Bowling alley with the Elders from Parkwood and Wellington. It was fun, but I didn't bowl. Not my cup of tea.
Tuesday, we finished packing, moved Sister Johnson over to the White's, moved me over to the Robertson's and were off to Loveland to await our new companions. Woot Woot! I already had 2/3rds of my tripanionship because Sister Smith had already been serving in Timberline. It was good to see the other Elders and Sisters in the area. I still don't know any of them. AWKWARD! And when we finally did make it home, no unpacking was done, we biked 3 miles to the Stake Center for a Relief Society activity and a lesson with Brett and biked three miles back in the dark. LOVE IT!
This transfer is going to be BOM AWESOME. Get it.... Book of Mormon. *wink* We start out by listening to an Apostle of the Lord on Saturday and practically end with General Conference. What could be better?!!!?
Love
Sister Bryans
