#ModernDayProphet, #LDSConf, #ShareGoodness, #TheChurchisTrue

Hello Adoring Fans! I fear that this weeks email is going to be a total let down from last weeks. To which, I apologize in advance. Please do not send any hate mail.
So Carly T.... She is the sister to Rachel T who got baptized a week and two days ago. We met with Carly on Monday night, Thursday night and last night. She feels the Spirit so strongly all the time. It's amazing. Her prayers are phenomenal! She wants to get baptized! She is reading the Book of Mormon! And my favorite part - she takes notes during our lessons with her. WHAT?!?!
We meet with Carly at the young Ortiz's and our lessons are just so powerful - to the point that they are most overwhelming to the soul. It's intense. We have only just barely gotten through the first lesson and last night we watched Elder Uchtdorf's talk from the Saturday Morning session of General Conference (https://www.lds.org/general-conference/watch/2014/10?lang=eng&vid=3820970221001&cid=12). #LDSConf
What else happened this week? We had another exchange from Wednesday to Thursday. That was fun! I was able to go to Taft Canyon to work with Sister Stewart and Sister Heintz. We visited a cute little family Wednesday night while we were together and I got to be the distraction companion so that a lesson could be taught. While Sister Heintz and Sister Stewart taught about prophets and how cool it is that we can watch conference, I played Spiderman with the family's little boy. It was fun. And it totally worked. BOOM!
And the highlight of the week was GENERAL CONFERENCE! Huzzah!!! All of the talks this Conference were so great. And the highlight of my conference experience was when I was able to listen to general authorities speak in their native tongues. I told this to President Brown in my weekly email to him this morning, "It was great to hear the gospel spoken in Cantonese, Portuguese and Spanish. It also helped me really connect with how investigators feel when we share the gospel with them. We speak a totally different language and have a totally different culture as Latter Day Saints than the rest of the world does. So as I listened to the speakers speak in their native tongues, it was easy to see, or rather to hear, how it might be for an investigator to be learning about the gospel for the first time. Completely Overwhelming!!! This is why having the Spirit present in lessons is so important. Because the Spirit is universal. He knows how to touch each individual in a way that they can feel truth in their hearts and minds. I love it!" #LDSConf
To all the Priesthood Brethren: Did you see President Monson during Priesthood Session of Conference? He looks so much older. It was really sad. But he still did an amazing job! The Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, was called of God. He is a personal representative of Jesus Christ. He has been set apart to fulfill a specific purpose in the work of Salvation in this the Great and Final Dispensation of the world. He holds the Priesthood of God and uses it to bless, lead, guide and warn the world as he urges us to Repent and have Faith in Christ enough to Act.
I am grateful that we live at this time when the gospel has been restored to the Earth and that we have a modern day prophet who leads and guides the church.
I hope you all had a blessed conference weekend and received great insight and answers to questions as you listened to the talks that were carefully prepared and inspired by the Spirit for you to hear.
Remember to #ShareGoodness with those around you as you bare testimony and share highlights from the talks you watched that touched your hearts.
I love you all.
Yours,
Sister Bryans
