Fall down, Step up and Watch out for all the Ice

Hello All,
Here I am bringing you more exciting news from the Life and Times of a Sister Missionary serving in LONGMONT. Do-do-do-doo!
Oh Good Heavens, what can I tell you this time?
First, I can tell you that I am alive and well.
Second, I can tell you that I will miss serving in the wonderful Fort Collins area. The Timberline ward treated me well and serving there taught me a lot. I will miss many great families that will stay in my heart for a lifetime!
But, the Lord has better plans and other things to teach me.
Third, I can tell you that I successfully survived my first week in the Longmont area.
But really what can I tell you?
From my beloved time in Fort Collins, I can say that Monday I said goodbye to dear sweet Sister C. McClure just as big and exciting steps were being taken in helping her to feel the Spirit and use the Atonement more fully in her life. She asked the Sisters to read the scriptures to her. She also requested that we never leave her home without a prayer. HUGE MIRACLES!!! Oh how much I love her and miss her.
I also said goodbye to the McCaw family. They are so great! I love how real they are. How much they are not afraid to stand out - in a good way of course. They love the gospel and they love each other. They are such amazing missionaries and have taught me so much. They too are well loved and greatly missed!
Upon departure from Fort Collins and arrival into Longmont. Let me tell you...that was an adventure.
The Sisters in Longmont were moving houses, so I got to help in that process. We now live with a cute old couple by the name of Mullen. We live in their basement in a bedroom made out of bookcases. Also known as, the main room with a bookcase divider in it. It's a party!
The highlight of our move was when I fell gracefully down the stairs while hefting a 50lb suitcase. It was a grand adventure. And I am happy to say that no missionary was harmed in the making of that fall. I LIVED!!! #DidSomeoneCallForAngels?
Other than that, our transfer rolled smoothly.
This week has been a long adventure of knocking on doors and finding no one home that would answer. We have been trying to contact a lot of the less actives on our ward list. Some answer and some do not. Some have moved and some have not. It's a great adventure.
We also are working with some really great investigators. My favorite is 17 year old Dillon. He is great! He has an amazing testimony and a firm faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Upon asking him what his favorite part of the gospel is, he responded, "The Plan of Salvation." And when I asked what his favorite part of the Book of Mormon was, he said, "Jacob 5." WHO DOES THAT?!?! He is amazing.
I think the most exciting part of the week was Friday. The day we had a special Mission Conference with Elder David A. Bednar, Elder Craig C. Christiansen and Elder James B. Martino. It was a really good conference. As part of our preparation for the conference, we read:
Seek Learning by Faith - https://www.lds.org/liahona/2007/09/seek-learning-by-faith?lang=eng
  Ask in Faith - https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2008/04/ask-in-faith?lang=eng
Converted Unto the Lord - https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2012/10/converted-unto-the-lord?lang=eng
all talks by Elder Bednar. And then we discussed them for the first hour - ish of the conference. Then we had a Q&A session with him. It was a great experience. And I learned a lot. #ShareGoodness #ModernProphet
Other than the above though, I don't know what else to share with you.
Oh! My new companion is Sister Nolin. She is from New Jersey and is the youngest of 4 kids. She was home schooled. She liked watching movies in her past life, and from what I have observed, she likes sleeping in this life. She doesn't talk much, so that's really all I have learned about her so far. Anything y'all would like to learn about her?
Umm... another thing to share with you because I don't think I have recently... My goal is to read all of the standard works by June 4th. So far I am in the middle of Job in the Old Testament. I am in the middle of 1st Corinthians in the New Testament. I am almost done with Alma in the Book of Mormon and I am somewhere around 50 in the Doctrine and Covenants. I love the SCRIPTURES!!! I could read them all the time. They are so powerful and direct in teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. #ScripturePower
Let the adventures roll forth.
Love,
Sister Bryans
