It's just not the same on the Fourth when you have no
fireworks. :'( We had a grill-out though hamburgers, fries and watermelon! This
week was full of animal adventures. First we discovered that there is a snake
that eats Habu called the Akamata and it's not poisonous so yeah I need one of
those because the next day I almost ran over a Habu on my bike! It was without
doubt one of the freakiest things in my life!
Then after that a kitten started to follow Elder Ogawa
around town but unfortunately we're not allowed to keep pets as missionaries so
we left him on someone's doorstep and went back to our apartment. Then if that
wasn't enough we found two geckos in the church just chilling. Of course we
caught them and let them go outside.
The work is still going. We have a whole new teaching pool every week. I
gave a 5 minute lesson at a guy's door the other day. I am getting
better at speaking, a little bit it's slow progress though. Elder Ogawa is one of the best.
The first week was rough but now I think we're finding a rhythm. On a typical
day I ride my bike FOREVER and then tract an area. The only thing I need now is a better way to
travel than by the Kagoshima ferry. It's so slow and cramped and yeah.
Well that's my week!
I love you all! Stay safe!
Elder Bryans
